Brown clay – engraving will be dark brown, contrasting, deep.

Ceramics with dark colored enamel – engraving is deep, the base colour is visible, not suitable for everyday use as dirt accumulates in the crevices.

Ceramics with light colored enamel is not suitable for laser engraving as there is no contrast, engraving edges tend to chip.
